Let There Be Light Fellowship Church - Everyone is invited to a
Prayer Service for our Nation and Law Enforcement on August 24th at 7pm. We are praying for our nation each month until the elections, as well as, for law enforcement and emergency workers. We will kick off AWANA Truthseekers September 7th at 6pm for ages 4 on up. We will meet every other Wednesday through the school year. We will teach the word, play games, sing songs and have a snack.

Over The Rainbow Community Garden Club -
We are doing our 2nd Annual Mum Fundraiser. $10 for a nice healthy 2 gallon mum in a variety of colors. Proceeds will be used for our Community Garden for things such as insurance, seeds, plants, fuel and equipment. You
can call Hanes Florist 913-755-3107 or come in at 411 E. Mill St. or contact Dave French 913-755-3622. The deadline to order is September 17th and the plants will be ready for pickup on September 24th and 25th.

Pray for Louisiana - The Osawatomie First United Methodist Church will be collecting items and money for Flood Buckets for Louisiana. We in Osawatomie know the pain and struggle of flooding. We invite you to join us in this effort. It would be great to take a TRUCKLOAD of items to Louisiana.

2nd Annual Chamber Golf Classic - The Osawatomie Chamber of Commerce is hosting our 2nd Annual Golf Classic. It will be on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at the Osawatomie Golf Course. The proceeds from the event will go back into our community. The Chamber hosts several events throughout the year and we are always looking for ways to enhance and promote our community.
To take part in the tournament as a player, you can enter individually or in teams of four. All players and sponsors involved in the tournament will enjoy a complimentary breakfast and lunch. All involved will receive a goodie bag and be able to partake in many prize-winning events. Click here for flyer.

Osawatomie First United Methodist Church is ready to hire a Choir Director. The position is a part-time hire and involves Sunday service at 10:30 each week, arriving no later than 10:15 am, to prepare for the morning service. Also weekly choir practice is required, we meet Wednesdays from 6:00-7:00p.m. September-May. The Choir takes the summer off, however; the director will work with the musicians and pastor to recruit special music for the summer. There are some special services during Lent, Advent and Christmas Eve that are required along with occasional other events. Ozone - USD 367 Sport & Fitness Zone - There is going to be a 5th-6th youth tackle football club team this fall.
