Rogers Corporation Selects Chandler for New Global Headquarters ::
 Rogers Corporation, an engineered materials solutions firm with a 180-year history, has chosen to relocate its global headquarters to Chandler. The company already has a significant presence in Chandler, which has for years been the headquarters for Rogers' Advanced Connectivity Solutions business segment. Rogers currently employs more than 400 people in Chandler and that number will soon grow as the company plans to add approximately 70 corporate employees as well as expand its existing Chandler manufacturing facilities.
As the new base for Rogers' corporate activities, global functions will also be administered from Chandler. Rogers operates manufacturing facilities in the United States, China, Germany, Belgium, Hungary, and South Korea, with joint ventures and sales offices worldwide.

City of Chandler Hosts Delegation from Gansu, China Chamber of Commerce ::
 On Monday, Aug. 8, the City of Chandler's Economic Development Division was honored to host a delegation from the Gansu, China Chamber of Commerce. The visit included a welcome reception, tour of Chandler, overview of the City's business environment and latest development projects, and discussion on investment opportunities.
"This visit was a great opportunity for us to introduce Chandler to our esteemed guests from the Gansu Chamber of Commerce," said Vice Mayor Jack Sellers. "Developing these global ties strengthens our local economy by showcasing Chandler to a world of potential investors and partners."
Relationship building is key to attracting foreign direct investment, which can support economic growth by providing vital capital for development projects, creating new businesses, expanding production facilities, bringing in new research and technology, and increasing exports.
The City is committed to enhancing Chandler's leading position as a connected and investment-ready city, and is always looking for opportunities to engage with new, global partners.

Google is hosting a community open house on Saturday, Aug. 13, and you are invited! Everyone is welcome to drop by, get a look at the Google self-driving car up close, learn more about the project and meet members of the Google self-driving car team.
