Welcome to the
2016-17
School Year |

Dear Billings Christian parents, grandparents, & friends;
God has been leading our school through a time of growth and expansion. Through your gracious gifts a security system for our Secondary Building has been installed. Thank you for the encouragement of your partnership! We also have been able to continue expanding our secondary course
offerings along with adding dual-credit college classes in our high school.
Our school is truly a community of families and I encourage you to get involved. There are needs for lunch servers, sports booster parents, classroom parents and parents prayer group. Whether you have been with our school for twleve years, are an alumni, or if this is your first year with BCS, we welcome you to get involved! The first step is calling the school office.
We are continuing our re-accreditation process that takes place every five years. This process challenges us to improve every area of our school. We are looking forward to gaining insight from ACSI (Association of Christian Schools International) as we continually strive for excellence in all areas of our school. If anyone is interested in being part of this very important work by serving on a committee, please contact me at the school office or by email.
One final note of gratitude goes out to all the financial proponents of our gym project. We have had an overwhelming show of support from so many of you. We have not yet met our goal, but we are getting very close. An annual report will be published this fall that will include a thank you to all of our donors. In it will be listed all donor names but not amounts given. If you would prefer not to be included on this list, please let me know. For anyone who has not yet been contacted to participate in this project, and would like to, please call me. I would love to tell you about the much awaited completion of our gym.
Thank you for your support and your continued prayers,
Diann Floth, Head of School

Introducing New Faculty and Staff |

Mrs. Felicia Henderson - Elementary Principal
|
|
Hello! I am Felicia Henderson from Lucedale, Mississippi. My husband, Brian, and I have been married for 24 years, and we have 2 children, Skylar, age 16, and Sydney, age 12. Having earned B.S. and M.A. in Education degrees
in Elementary Education, I also am National Board Certified in Literacy. I have taught 20 years in public and private Christian school settings.
My family and I are on fire for following and sharing Jesus! In 2009, we served with the International Mission Board in Costa Rica for 5 months while in language school and 2 years in Lima, Peru, as Translator Ministry Coordinators, where we taught E. S. L. and Bible studies, trained translators in missions, and coordinated logistics for incoming U.S.A. teams traveling to villages in the Andes.
We returned to Mississippi in 2011, I served in my home church in many leadership capacities, in small groups, women's ministry, church-wide missions, and also in student and youth groups. Currently, our family are missionaries with the North American Mission Board, and we are interning with Elevation Church in Billings. After trusting God to come to Montana , he led our family to Billings Christian School. I look forward to being your servant leader here at BCS and allowing Him to work both in and through me to lead and serve staff, students, and parents, as we seek to follow His perfect will!

What do Teachers do in the Summer? THEY GO TO CAMP! |
SUMMER ENRICHMENT CAMP RECAP
Thank you to Mrs. Stafford, Mrs. Halvorson, and Miss Reeves for making this such a great summer!
Some of the many highlights of the 6 different themed camps were:
Baking cookies and decorating them in the school kitchen; Having water sponges wars; Learning about other countries; Eating with chopsticks; Getting to pet the snake and lizards; Going on field trips to Candi's Art Studio, the Billings Airport, the Zoo, In Good Glazes and the Hardin Museum; Playing games; Making fun crafts; Helping with service projects. (Just to name a FEW)
As one student summed up his time at camp this summer, "I can't wait until next summer!"
