Tishah B'Av Events Friday and Saturday
Please join us for a
Special Mystical Tishah B'Av Shabbat Service,
this Friday, August 12, at 6:30 pm. Tishah B'av is the day we remember the destruction of the First and Second Temples. It was also the day of the expulsion from Spain in 1492 and England in 1290.
More on the meaning of Tishah B'Av.
Saturday morning, August 13, at 10:00 am Rabbi Bearman will lead us in a reading from the Book of Lamentations and a discussion of commentaries through the centuries about what this day has meant to our people, and what it means to us today.
The session will include a brunch to give us nourishment for the discussion and for those who choose to fast on the holiday! Make sure to email or call Kim in the Temple Office to so we have an estimate of the number who will be sharing the meal with us:
officeadmin@templebnaichaim.org - 203-544-8695.
