Esteemed colleague moves on

It is with mixed feelings that I share the news that Anne Marie Boursiquot King is leaving Tufts Health Plan Foundation.

As you may know, Anne Marie was part of the initial team that transitioned our "Community Partnerships" corporate giving program into Tufts Health Plan Foundation in 2008. Not only was Anne Marie the Foundation's first official employee, she has been key in helping the Foundation grow since its inception. To date, the Foundation has contributed more than $21 million to more than 300 nonprofit organizations.

From the initial strategic planning process that led to the Foundation's decision to focus on aging issues to developing and executing on capacity-building programs and workshops that strengthen our nonprofit partners, Anne Marie has played an instrumental role in establishing Tufts Health Plan as a leader in age-friendly work.

Anne Marie's commitment, calm, and grace will be missed. She has agreed to stay on part time through our last grant making cycle of the year.

She is taking on a more important and critical role, which will include spending time with her family and being more involved with her son Jeffrey's transition to kindergarten this fall.

On a personal note, I have learned many lessons from Anne Marie. She is a role model. Her example and work leave a great legacy here--a strong foundation on which we will continue to build as our work to make our communities strong and vital for older adults moves forward.

Please join me in wishing all good things to Anne Marie in this next chapter.
