Greetings Cascade Family and Friends,
By now, most--if not all--school districts have resumed classes. In response to the beginning of a new school year, I have just one request: LET US PRAY!
Let Us Pray for every student enrolled in school that he/she may find a safe place for learning and socializing.
Let Us Pray for school teachers, paraprofessionals, and administrators that they may have an affirming influence and positive presence in the lives of every student they encounter.
Let Us Pray for every family represented by either students or school staff that these families may find themselves in a safe and healthy place in their diverse communities.
Let Us Pray that the grounds that each school sits on will be "holy ground" during this school season.
Of course, more than prayer is needed to ensure our children will have a successful school year. We know, I Thessalonians 5:17 tells us to "Pray without ceasing"; therefore, our prayers are powerful and effective. They will undergird everything else. We will certainly be in ongoing conversations about other issues and concerns for this school year. But for now, LET US PRAY.
