Vision Affects Learning
 
Vision is complex and accounts for 65% of all the pathways to the brain. However, school screenings often only test visual acuity. Read these  staggering statistics. 

It is estimated that:
  • 80% of children with a learning disability have an undiagnosed vision problem. 
  • 25% of students in grades K-6 have visual problems that are serious enough to impede learning and lead to academic and/or behavioral problems. 
  • Studies show that children with visual perceptual and eye movement difficulties do poorly on standardized testing.

Observations of your child in school and at home are very important in helping to determine if your child has a vision issue impeding potential.
