Vision Affects Learning

Vision is complex and accounts for 65% of all the pathways to the brain. However, school screenings often only test visual acuity. Read these  staggering statistics

It is estimated that:
  • 80% of children with a learning disability have an undiagnosed vision problem.
  • 25% of students in grades K-6 have visual problems that are serious enough to impede learning and lead to academic and/or behavioral problems.
  • Studies show that children with visual perceptual and eye movement difficulties do poorly on standardized testing.
