This month CEBC hosted an informative technical webinar focused on CSP Tower Technology for the MENA region with guest speakers from ata Renewables and SolarReserve. Further details along with a link to listen to the webinar recording and download the accompanying presentations can be found below.
August is shaping up to be another busy month with a number of activities planned for our members and industry stakeholders. On 30 August we will host a workshop dedicated to waste to energy in MENA, and an event on energy efficiency taking place on 28 September and details of these and more can be found in the event section of our newsletter.

CEBC Elects Chair and Vice Chair
CEBC Board elect has appointed H.E. Dr. Nasser Saidi and Mhairi Main Garcia as Chair and Vice Chair respectively, for the next two year term. The appointment coincides with the Green Sukuk Working Group adding CEBC members Ashurst, Latham & Watkins and National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD) to its membership, along with Amanie Advisors, HSBC and Standard & Poors.

Renewable Energy Statistics 2016| IRENA
The International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) has set out to produce comprehensive, reliable data sets on renewable energy capacity and use worldwide. The 2016 Renewable Energy Statistics Yearbook shows data sets on renewable power-generation capacity for 2006-2015, renewable power generation for 2006-2014 and renewable energy balances for 100 countries and areas for 2013 and 2014. Further, it features statistics on investments in renewable energies from 18 major multi-lateral, bilateral and national development financial institutions presented for the period 2009-2014.
