We would like to invite you to the upcoming
API Presidential Town Hall Interfaith Prayer Forum as part of the
2016 Presidential Town Hall organized by
APIA Vote and the
Asian American Journalist Association (AAJA) at
Caesar's Palace Hotel in
Las Vegas on
Friday, August 12, 2016. The Interfaith Prayer Forum is being organized by KCCD and other faith leaders and will be held the morning of the Presidential Town Hall. We invite you to be part of these two historic events.
The API Presidential Town Hall Interfaith Prayer Forum is open to all, and is aimed at providing voice for AAPIs from faith-based and moral perspectives. Leaders from various faith traditions will offer short prayers or remarks at the meeting, followed by a time of discussion and networking. We invite you to join us to pray for our nation, our nation's leaders and for the upcoming election in November. After the Town Hall session in the afternoon, we plan to develop faith-based responses to the issues raised by the AAPI community. We welcome leaders of other faith traditions to join in the planning and coordination of this event.
The
Presidential Town Hall is the nation's largest forum for Asian American community leaders, with 3,000 to 4,000 expected participants to advocate for their community issues during this presidential election.
Both Presidential candidates Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump have been invited to speak at the Town Hall with potential coverage by NBC.

The Interfaith Prayer Forum will be held at Caesars Palace Hotel in Las Vegas from 9 AM - 10:30am followed by the Presidential Town Hall at 1pm to 4pm on August 12, 2016 at the same location. Please register for both events to be ensure your admission. Admission is free. Everyone is welcome to attend.
