August 24, 2016 Luncheon
The Journey to Successful Corporate Fundraising
Passport image

Fundraising is like travel. Each of us is at a different place on our trip and corporate giving is on a journey, too, whether you're a First-Time Flyer, a Seasoned Flyer or a Million-Miler. Sam Santiago from the American Heart Association will present a new approach to taking off and landing with corporate partners, in conversation with local philanthropists Gillian Breidenbach of Bank of America, Kirsten Gappelberg of Mary Kay, Inc. and Michelle Thomas of JPMorgan Chase & Co. You'll have a new stamp in your fundraising passport after attending this meeting.

Mark your calendar for the September 28th luncheon program featuring Laura Fredricks, author of The Ask . Laura will also be leading an Executive Conversation program on September 27th.
Guest Message: AFP Now! Countdown

Greetings, All!
Zuca travel bag
You might win this Zuca travel bag, which doubles as a rolling office and on-the-go chair, when you donate to the 2016 AFP Now! campaign.

Happy end-of-summer and welcome to the "Final Five" months of 2016! Just as you anticipate your professional year-end fundraising plans, your Greater Dallas AFP Chapter does so as well. We have fall luncheon programs, National Philanthropy Day, our holiday event, and you guessed it, the countdown for our AFP Now! Campaign

A heartfelt thank you to those of you who have made your pledges/gifts this year for AFP Now! At 11%, our chapter is a little over halfway to our 20% membership participation goal. That means we only need 36 more chapter members to make a gift of any size. And we are well on our way towards our $10,000 fundraising goal, with $6,975 pledged. Again, thank you!

AFP Now! is our chapter membership's way of giving back, providing assistance to our own members who otherwise would not be able to attend conferences, meetings and workshops, and helping to cover costs for our educational programming, which offers valuable professional development opportunities.

So, as you don your favorite team colors for fall football (this is Texas, after all), please "get your give on," and support AFP Now! We'll be giving away a grand prize of a Zuca roller bag (pictured), at the Holiday luncheon, drawing the lucky winner from the names of everyone who has donated to AFP Now!

Yours truly,

Anne Robillard
