Ted Corcoran, President/CEO of the Fort Walton Beach Chamber of Commerce was on tour at our Fisher House recently with Ron Gribble. Interesting fact: the bust of the Fishers seen here in the photo was made by the same iconic sculptor as the United States Marine Corp Memorial, better known as the famous Iwo Jima Memorial.

"I've been in the U.S. Navy for 22 years and had never experienced a Fisher House before. It was such a blessing to be able to be near the hospital and care for my wife during her surgery. Thank you!"
"So thankful for the Fisher House. You helped me out in a tight spot, a wonderful experience! Thank you so much!"
"Thank you for taking such great care of my family this last month I was in the hospital. It meant the world to me to be able to see my kids and husband so often. That would not have been possible with the Fisher House...THANK YOU!"
Made possible by your faithful support!

Mark Stogsdill is shown here in this photo, far left and Bob Lynn is next to him at a recent event for Fisher House. Please keep both of their families in your thoughts and prayers.

Our beloved friend, board member and treasurer, American hero Mark Stogsdill passed away on July 19, 2016 after an unexpected illness. Mark served on our board for many years, volunteered passionately in the community and will be missed greatly. Mark was a good sport, even when I shared this fun jibjab movie. Click here.
|
Bob Lynn passed away on July 30. Bob, a member of our board since early in our history loved Fisher House and was a larger than life fixture in the Crestview community. Bob and Mark's legacy will live on by the lives that they touched.

Welcome Back to our Board of Directors
Trec Chedister
|
Mrs. Trec Chedister served on our founding board and is credited for being the tenacious influence behind approval of our home on Eglin AFB in less than two years. Typical approval takes 5 years and the Fisher House Foundation selects locations in communities with great support. Trec provided all the assurance necessary that this was a community who supported our military and their families by the examples she sets. We are so pleased she has rejoined us!
