Thank you for checking in to see what has been going on at Madison Heights this past month.  We have had a lot of fun with volunteers, Christmas in July and pet therapy among other things.  We love spending time with our residents and getting to know them better!

Madison Heights management strives to ensure that our residents have the best quality of life possible.  This includes: medical care, person-centered life enrichment, a healthy diet and building relationships with residents.  

If there is anything that we can do to improve the quality of life of your loved one please let us know. It is our honor and pleasure to care for your loved one and we are thankful for the opportunity.

Support Group Information
 
Join us on the THIRD THURSDAY of each month at 2:00 for Support Group!  We meet at The Alzheimer's Association, located at 106 SRP Drive, Evans, GA.

All family members or caregivers of someone with a dementia diagnosis are welcome to attend.  Don't forget to invite others who you think would benefit from additional support.

Join us for the Walk to End Alzheimer's 

This year's Walk to End Alzheimer's will be held on Saturday, November 5 at the Columbia County Amphitheater.  Opening ceremony is at 10:00 with the walk immediately following at 10:30.

We are excited that some of you have taken advantage of the new E-payment option.  E-payment allows you  to pay by Credit Card or E-Check anytime, anywhere.
 
How to Get Started:
You should have received an email invitation to setup and access your unique tenant portal. If we already have your email address, please look for the separate email invitation. (Note: the email may be in your spam folder.) For the best experience, use Safari or Chrome web browsers.
 
Your Payment Options:
eCheck (FREE)- Enter your routing and account number to pay rent directly from your checking or savings account..
Credit Card - Charge your rent to your credit or debit card; earn points or pay over time. A convenience fee will be assessed based on the amount of your rent and will be displayed in your portal.
Friendly Reminders

1. The Madison Heights vehicle will be available on Tuesdays to help assist residents to medical appointments.  Please speak with Christen if you would like to utilize this service to ensure that the vehicle is available during your requested appointment time.

 

2. We have a volunteer who comes to Madison Heights to repair walkers and wheelchairs.  If you notice a problem with your loved one's ambulatory devise please contact Kelly at 706-364-8710 to get it on the schedule to be repaired.

 

3. Be reminded that payments are due on the 1st of the month.  If not received by the 10th a late fee will be added.

 

4.  Since the warm weather is here please make sure your loved one has a summer wardrobe, sunscreen and a hat.

 

5. The podiatrist will be visiting on August 11.  To make an appointment for your family member, contact Christen.

About Al: Al is a fun-loving and generous man. He is always willing to lend a hand and wants to help fix anything that needs repairs.
Al Loves: His family, cars & children!  Al even owns a 1998 Corvette & a 1928 Ford Model A.  

Associate of the Month

Congratulations to Mikevia, our Associate of the 
Month!

Mikevia was chosen as  Associate of the Month because she is a quick learner who is always smiling.  She is involved in making sure that the residents stay engaged.  She has a calm demeanor and helps residents feel at peace.  

She says that her favorite part of working at Madison Heights is making the residents smile and ensuring they feel comfortable as though they are with family. She goes on to say that this is her main focus when she comes to work each day. 

Spotlight Volunteer

 
Our volunteer in the spotlight this month is Angeline!
 
Angeline comes to spend time with our residents once a week.  She is wonderful as communicating with residents and meeting them where they are. When she visits to assists with the scheduled activities or sometimes will just sit to spend time with residents and get to know them better.
