2015 Audit Accepted by Board
|
The 2015 Audit was presented to the Board of Directors at its July 21, 2016 Regular Meeting by Mitch Downs, CPA with Osborn, Parson & Rosacker, a Colorado Springs accounting firm. The Board accepted the 2015 Audit during its meeting and the Audit has been submitted to the Colorado Office of the State Auditor. Read the 2015 Audit.

Falcon Area Water Loss, Restrictions Not Related to PBHMD
|
Falcon Highlands Metropolitan District
On Sunday, July 24, 2016, the Falcon Highlands Metropolitan District experienced a loss of water pressure when its water storage tank emptied due to a pump malfunction. Falcon Highlands customers were placed under water restrictions and a "boil order".

August 2016 Regular Board Meeting
The August 2016 Regular Meeting of the Board of Directors will be held on Thursday, August 18, 2016 7:00 PM in the District Office, 9830 Liberty Grove Drive, Falcon, Colorado. All meetings are open to the public.

Christopher Olney Appointed to Board
|
Christopher Olney, a District resident since 2012, was appointed to Board of Directors for a term ending in May 2018. Mr. Olney is a Power Plant Mechanic at Colorado Springs Utilities' Martin Drake Power Plant. He has also held positions as a Project Manager and Shop Manager. Mr. Olney earned his Associates Degree from Pikes Peak Community College. He brings his proven leadership skills, a strong commitment to high ethical and professional standards, safety, and flexibility in devising proactive responses to changing conditions to his role as Director.

Falcon schools are back in session and children will be walking to school as you're driving through the District. Let's help them get safely back to school by watching your speed and staying alert.

Board to Review Bids for Office/Shop Building Construction
|
The bid period for the construction of the District's Office and Shop Building ended on July 14, 2016. One bid was received by the District that was in excess of the Project Budget. As a result, the District's Engineer and the District Manager are soliciting bids from other general contractors as part of the District's due diligence. The Board will review all received bids at its August 18, 2016 Regular Meeting.

The District has a Water Demand Management Strategy is in place to help it meet the increased water demands that come with landscape irrigation.

Board Adopts Election Resolution
|
November 8, 2016 Coordinated Election
The Board of Directors adopted Resolution 2016-07-01 Regarding Election at its July 21, 2016 Regular Meeting. The Board anticipates holding a special election on November 8, 2016 for the purpose of submitting ballot issues and/or questions to eligible electors of the District. The election will be held as coordinated election with El Paso County rather than holding a separate election as a means to reduce costs. To read the Resolution,
