Happy New Year--everyone at Art Jewelry Forum hopes 2016 unfolds beautifully for you!  There are lots of exciting events coming up with AJF to keep you busy. Many are in the planning stages with more details to come, but we wanted to give you a heads up. 

Plus, as always, great articles, interviews, and reviews to enjoy as you recover from your end-of-year festivities and start the first day of a new year. Enjoy!

Munich Jewelry Week 2016 in Munich, Germany
AJF is pleased that our latest book will be released during Schmuck in Munich, Germany. To  preorder for pickup during Schmuck--and avoid shipping charges--enter coupon code MJW PICKUP during checkout. You can find us at the Galerie Marzee booth. Thanks to Galerie Marzee and Marie-José van den Hout for being generous with their space again this year. 

AJF's annual Schmuck Dinner will take place Thursday, February 25 at 8 pm at the Georgenhof restaurant. Join us for a casual dinner with other AJF supporters--registration will open soon.

A three-part panel discussion will take place Thursday, February 25 at 9am at Villa Stück. Collectors, artists, and curators examine work from their unique perspectives, three different content providers discuss the importance of talking and writing about the field, and two editors present their newest books. Take a break from looking at work and enjoy a morning of thinking about the ideas that surround the art objects we love--registration will open soon.

The five AJF Artist Award finalists will show their work during Schmuck at the Platina Stockholm booth. Thanks to Platina Stockholm and Sofia Björkman for making this possible.

ZOOM Conference, Milwaukee, Wisconsin
AJF will be holding two workshops as part of ZOOM: a Wikipedia workshop and a writing workshop. We will also be sponsoring a lecture by Courtney Kemp based on her series of articles, Beyond Unwearable, and Rebekah Frank will give a lecture on the value of considered thinking about the field of jewelry. Registration will open soon.
 
SEPTEMBER 12 - 16 
AJF Trip -- Italy
The 2016 AJF trip to Italy is in the planning stages--the most exciting time--with more details to follow. The AJF trip is open to donors at the $500 level or higher.

The Lois & Bob Boardman Collection will be showcased at LACMA with the opening of Beyond Bling and AJF will be there--specifics about programming to be announced soon ...
