Alamo Colleges Graduates 81 Local Workers from Technical Training Pilot Program

At a graduation ceremony July 27, 81 employees from local businesses celebrated their completion of the Alamo Colleges Technical Institute (ACTI) mechatronics pilot program, a partnership effort between Alamo Colleges and Workforce Solutions Alamo. Both the employees and their employers were so impressed with the pilot program that additional classes will be offered to allow more local companies to participate.
These manufacturing classes are for incumbent workers who need to expand their skills and remain competitive in the ever-changing economy. The ACTI programs provide time-efficient and economical training for future journeymen, electricians, technicians and certified tradesmen.
