Thank You from the
Class of 2016  Scholarship Recipients!!
"I would like to formally thank you for your significant contribution towards my college expenses.  I am grateful for the opportunity to further my education." - Drew

"I wanted to thank you and the Snohomish Education Foundation so much for awarding me the SEF $1000 Scholarship.  Today, college costs are so crazy that it is only through the exceedingly generous support of our parents, our schools, and organizations such as yours that I - or anyone for that matter- can afford to go.  I am so excited to head off on this next step in my journey.  Thank you again for making my aspirations all the easier to reach." - Clara

Graduate Spotlight: Jessamine Anderson

R: Jessamine Anderson,
SHS Class of 2016

Jessamine Anderson is a 2016 graduate of SHS and a SEF Scholarship recipient who has lived in Snohomish the majority of her life.  When she was 10 years old, her father passed away unexpectedly from a heart attack.  Her mother returned to school to renew her nursing license to support her 3 daughters.  Throughout the years, the community of Snohomish was there to support Jessamine.  Her school, church, and many other community members "lifted me up and shaped me into who I am today .

Through Snohomish Education Foundation, Jessamine received 5 scholarships from local organizations and another 6 scholarships from those outside of SEF.  Jessamine expresses a very grateful heart for the support of her and her fellow students.  "The support you give us is what makes Snohomish the unique place that it is.  It really does take a village, and for that I couldn't be more grateful . "   Last summer, during the SSD Snohomish Science & Arts Academy, Jessamine created a Facebook page called the "Humans of Snohomish . "   Jessamine plans to attend the University of Washington this fall.  Our best wishes to you Jessamine and congratulations on a job well done.  We look forward to the great things you will continue to do in the years to come!
