With a Grand New Program Space,
August Calendar Brims with Events
At Edgartown's New Library
The program room of our new library was designed to fit an audience of 100 people comfortably, and with the technology to meet the needs of almost any public use.

The promise of this new space is being fulfilled, beyond our expectations, as Edgartown experiences its first summer of enjoying this new facility. In July the program room presented a new art exhibit (still on display through August), and played host to an Island-wide forum on a new approach to preventing Lyme Disease -- filmed by two video production teams and recorded by National Public Radio.

We invite you to scan through the event listings in this month's library bulletin. We think you'll agree that the possibilities presented by this new public space are exciting, and that the new Edgartown Library is already proving itself as a valuable addition to the community's cultural and civic life.

Director
