DENVER FOOTLIGHTS: WAITING FOR OBAMA

August 6th, 2016
7:30pm

On Saturday, August 6th at 7:30pm, come on over to Buntport Theater for an open rehearsal of Waiting for Obama by former Denver Post theatre writer and playwright John Moore. From here, Moore's play will head out to The New York International Fringe Festival.

In Waiting for Obama, one Colorado family is convinced the President is coming for their guns. And they're right. While propelled by one of the most divisive issues of our time, Waiting for Obama is the story of a recognizable family that, like many others, is trying to stick together while deeply divided by polarizing political beliefs. The director of Waiting for Obama is Brian Freeland, who carried the torch for avant-garde theatre in Denver for 20 years with his LIDA Project Theatre. John and Brian are presenting the play under the name Wild Blindness Productions.

Attendance is free, but donations are welcome.
