Back at the beginning of the year I empowered you to drink ADVENTUROUSLY. I suggested that u resolve to drink fewer of the wines that you already love and more of the wines that we have somehow ignored or are afraid of or are new in the shoppe. Nowadays, great wines come from all directions and continents. You can easily be content drinking familiar, wonderful wines. Yet for us adventurous few, the joy of wine requires the warm embrace of old friends and the thrill of recognizing new ones. Obscure wines hold one potential advantage over their better-known counterparts: greater value. Because there is less demand for unfamiliar wines, they can offer a greater ratio of quality to price.
