Did you ever have a moment where your push your work aside and think "What if?  What if I could grow my business?  If I grow it, where will I expand to? Should I open a second location?"  It's easy to get carried away in your thoughts and dreams. Before you know it, in your mind you have two locations and double the profit.  Life is good!  But before you act on these thoughts, it's important to have a plan.  A solid plan.  We're all for helping you grow your business, but please read the two articles below for two types of plans without which, life might not be so good!

TOO MUCH OF A GOOD THING?

Have a solid plan before purchasing that bigger office or second location!

To every business owner, the goal is to grow the business and be successful while increasing profitability. These are all good goals to have as your start your business. When business owners decide to expand, it is important to plan for growth and be cautious to not grow too fast.

As a new business owner it is often very exciting and exhilarating to watch your company grow and succeed. The best phrase that I preach to new owners is, you have to walk before you can run. With business owners juggling so many things, it's challenging to slow down to make sure that your bases are covered before you move on either to a larger space or a second location.
IT WILL NEVER HAPPEN HERE

Do you have a disaster plan?  No one ever thinks 'it will happen here!'

What is your plan? Whether your business sits in an area subject to flooding or up on a hill top it is always important to have that plan in place for when the weather turns and the "it'll never happen here" happens.

As a business owner you already are responsible for keeping all of the balls in the air. At times it becomes difficult to see all that you are juggling, let alone throwing another ball into the mix. Having an emergency plan is often one of those topics that is overlooked. It is one of those plans that when you need it, there is often not time to think about what all needs done to keep everyone safe.

TESTIMONIAL

"The lifeline of our company depends upon transparent client relationships, attention to detail, utilizing technology for efficiency and a successful campaign execution.  Paxton Bookkeeping echoes all. They have been an excellent addition to the TCL Marketing team.  Lauri and her staff have continued to exceed expectations by adding a layer of checks and balances that has proven to be successful. Simply put, they are an asset, not an expense."
