Drip Irrigation
by Kelly Bekele

Nothing says "welcome home!" like a healthy green grass and vibrant plants. Whether you choose a drip system, sprinkler system, or something else altogether, proper irrigation is vital to achieving the kind of healthy lawn you want for your home.

It might seem natural to cut your lawn as short as possible. But did you know that experts recommend avoiding the buzz cut and letting it grow a little longer? Mowing a lawn too short puts stress on the grass and limits deep root growth.

It's VOTING time in Tennessee!

Well, it is in Knoxville, TN anyway. The voting has begun for Cityview's Best of the Best awards! Click HERE to request your ballot. (Don't forget to read the official rules). The Knoxville Mercury will begin voting for Top Knox on August 1st so keep an eye out!
Mid Summer Gardening Tips:
  • Raise the height of your mower to reduce stress on your lawn and to conserve moisture in the ground.
  • Cut back early planted annuals that are getting leggy or out of control by one-third to keep them looking good into the fall.
  • Prune overgrown oak leaf and mop-headed hydrangeas
