Thank You With Love: Jim and Kazoo
At last a dream experienced...the full South congregation in kazoo mode to "This Little Light of Mine." Bring out balloons, ring out the bells, wave and sway in joyful spirit, laugh and dance ...Celebrate!

And let me say the recent Sunday celebration to joyfully launch me into "retirement" ( note purposefully misspelled, but computer spell corrected)...was a great send off. So many to thank; so many to hug; so many that shall remain in my prayers .

The smiles of good cheer was tasted and savored and banked away in memory. It has been my joy to choreograph our South Senior Program. My gratitude is extended to all who entrusted that role to me

Merci....grazie....gracias....thanks....

Peace and joy....Jim Kinhan ( aka:Mr.Jim)

Volunteers Make Services Special
It is that time of year again to schedule the Acolytes, Readers, Greeters, Ushers and the Hosts for Fellowship Hour. It is the volunteers that  participate that make the Services special for everyone.  If you have ever considered volunteering for this very special ministry, please contact our Volunteer Coordinator; Peg Wenzel
and she will be happy to add you to the list.

Another Volunteer Opportunity
The National MS Society in Waltham, MA. are hosting a walk fundraiser event on Sunday, September 25th, 2016 in Concord, at Abbot-Downing Elementary School.  They are looking for people who are seeking a volunteer opportunity, and are willing to help.   Volunteers help us with Walk Registration, take photos, run rest stops, set up for the event and help clean up after the event.
If this opportunity interests you, please feel free to contact Caroline Laurendeau or register online  Click on the Event Volunteer and follow the prompts.

A young Congolese man, Pitie, came to Concord all alone as a refugee in 2015. Soon after, he became seriously ill with liver failure. Because he has no family here, a small community group, including several South Church members have been caring for him daily through this medical crisis. Miraculously, he received a liver transplant last month. He is doing very well, but faces a year of recovery and care. We set up a crowd-funding campaign to help with his many expenses. Any amount is greatly appreciated. Please follow this link - and share! Many thanks, Becky Field, Zib Corell and Betsy Clardy for all that you have done to support him.
