Flagler County Commissioner Frank Meeker passed away Friday

Frank Meeker, 61 lost his battle with cancer last Friday.  Commissioner Meeker was a passionate and dedicated public servant. Elected in 2012 to the Flagler County commission he immediately focused on getting his CCC & ACC designations.  Because of his commitment and that of his board, Flagler County is the only county in Florida where all five members were CCC & ACC graduates.

Meeker was an avid environmentalist with an infectious smile and tenacious spirit.

There will be a funeral procession from the church to Flagler Palms Memorial Gardens, 511 Old Kings Road South, Flagler Beach. The family will receive friends afterwards at the Flagler County Association of Realtors, 4101 E. Moody Blvd., Bunnell.   Arrangements are in the care of Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home.

The Flagler County Commission will honor Meeker on Monday, Aug. 1, at 10:30 a.m. in board chambers at the Government Services Building in Bunnell.
