The  31st Annual Texas Travel Summit is just a few months away and we are excited to welcome these Keynote Speakers to this year's conference in Houston, October 10-12.

Texas' foremost economist, Dr. Ray Perryman opens Summit this year with his Economic Forecast for Texas and What it Means for Texas' Travel & Tourism Industry. Dr. Perryman will share key patterns and trends and how these may enhance or curtail future economic performance.

Clayton Reid, President/CEO, MMGY
Considered one of the travel industry's top minds in destination marketing and strategic planning,  Clayton Reid, President/CEO of MMGY,  joins us on Tuesday, October 11th to  share the insights gleaned from the 26th Annual Portrait of the American Traveler survey and discuss how to avoid the plague of blind belief in your marketing decisions during his keynote address.
Doug Lansky, Noted Author and Travel Columnist
A thought leader in destination development,  Doug Lansky, Author and Travel Columnist , shares a keynote filled with fresh concepts and perspectives that will help you rethink the way you market and develop your destination. Doug has been living abroad and traveling for the last 20 years in over 120 countries. He is the author of 10 books, including 3 for Lonely Planet and 3 for Rough Guides.

Pre-Summit Session:  Leveraging Communications to Impact Public Policy

On Sunday, October 9th from 2:00pm-5:30pm, TTIA presents a Pre-Summit session to help you leverage your story to more effectively impact public policy that affects your livelihood. This session will be conducted by policy communications expert, Jenifer Sarver, Principal, Sarver Strategies.

In this workshop, Jenifer will help you develop and hone your story, and build the communication skills necessary to identify the right audience, the right message and the right communications vehicles to deliver it.

This session is open to all Summit attendees, but requires separate registration. Space is limited.  Cost of this Pre-Session: $99/person
