Changes in WCPE Leadership Announced

After helping elevate the performance of Wisconsin organizations for more than 15 years, Liz Menzer will be stepping down as Executive Director of Wisconsin Center for Performance Excellence. Liz will start the next leg of her professional career on August 1 as Senior Leader for Partner Development with Studer Education, the education division of Studer Group. 

"I am so grateful for the many amazing experiences I have had because of WCPE, as well as the opportunity to work with wonderful examiners, leaders and organizations. Studer Group was a 2010 national Baldrige award recipient and is a strong advocate for Baldrige. In my new position, I hope to be able to encourage educational institutions to use the Baldrige framework," said Menzer. 

While she is leaving her role as Executive Director, the WCPE Board of Directors has offered Menzer a board seat and asked that she continue to represent Wisconsin on the Alliance for Performance Excellence, where she currently serves as Chairperson. Her stewardship on WCPE's Board of Directors will help guide and sustain the organization long into the future.

Brett Remington
W CPE is also excited to announce that Brett Remington has accepted the role as int erim Executive Director. Brett has more than 17 years of continuous experience and involvement at every level within WCPE. He is a strong advocate of performance excellence and accomplished practitioner of performance improvement in Wisconsin.

"I am extremely motivated and excited to be leading this organization. WCPE is closing in on two decades of helping build better workplaces here in Wisconsin. We've accomplished a lot during that time, but there are tremendous opportunities to increase our reach and impact. Call for Nominations - Harry S. Hertz Leadership Award 

The Baldrige Foundation is now accepting nominations for the 2017 Harry S. Hertz Leadership Award (HSHLA) to be presented at the Quest for Excellence conference. The HSHLA will bring recognition to a deserving individual and provide leadership best practices to many. Nominees do not need to have any prior association with the Baldrige process, but should be exemplars of the leadership criteria described on the website.
