If music (and dance) be the food of life.....then come to Reeves-Reed Arboretum next
Wednesday evening, July 27
, for the second concert in the series
Sounds of a Summer Night 2016
. This concert will feature 35 dancers from INKUBATE, the New Jersey Dance Theatre Ensemble, and a live performance by renowned electric violinist,
Valerie Vigoda.
Ms. Vigoda, on a national tour, will be performing selections from her new CD. The performance will be held entirely in the Gretchen Keller Azalea Garden.
The Arboretum opens at 6:00 pm for concertgoers to picnic. The performance is from 7:00 to 8:00 pm.
Cost: Free for RRA members
$10 for Non-Members; $5 for students with ID.

Our new gardening and nutrition program,
Let's Get Growing, is in full swing. If you haven't had a chance yet, stop by the garden outside the Stackhouse Education Center to see what Square Foot Gardening is all about. Classes are filling up so don't wait to sign up and be a part of this exciting new program.

Discovery Saturdays
Most Saturdays* from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm
Our weekly drop-in program, Discovery Saturdays, continues this month with a focus on Wonderful Water. Discovery Saturdays is also offered in Spanish thanks to the generous support of the Junior League of Summit.
Cost: Free for RRA Members; $5 per child for Non-Members

Free Saturday Garden Tour
Saturdays at 10:30 am and 1:30 pm
Free guided tours of the Arboretum take place Saturdays at 10:30 am and 1:30 pm from May through October. Tours begin at the Visitors Center. Tours last approximately 30 to 45 minutes.

Nocturnal Neighbors rescheduled!
Friday, July 29 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm
Join us Friday, July 29 as we observe and learn about one of nature's coolest insects:
the firefly. Each Nocturnal Neighbors includes a night hike, s'mores and stories by the campfire.
Registration is required.

Oaks and Acorns
For ages 3-5 with adult
Wonder, respect and love for the natural world start early in this engaging weekly class. Discover some of the incredible animals and plants that make the arboretum so special. Take nature walks, tell stories and sing songs, and create one-of-a-kind art projects every week. And at the end of the series, take home a nature book you made yourself! This shared nature experience is one you both will treasure.
Register early since space is limited. Membership must be current on day of event to receive membership benefit.
Cost: Free for Family Level membership and above;
$70 for Non-Members
