Patient Highlight

Tim has been fighting Leukemia for a number of years, but was considered to be in remission. With his cancer under control he moved to Lexington from his home state of Florida to be close to his son and grandchildren.

Recently, Tim was diagnosed with lung cancer. While surprised by his diagnosis, he purposed to continue fighting although this new battle would require he moved back to Florida to be near doctors already familiar with his medical needs.  With no income or resources, Tim reached out to Kentucky CancerLink for help getting home.  One of our certified Patient Navigators submitted an application to the Wings of Hope Foundation and we are so honored to report that Tim received a no-cost flight back to Florida!  We spoke to Tim recently and he is so appreciative to be back in Florida where he will continue his valiant fight!

Thank you, Wings of Hope!  It's a blessing to work with other organizations who give hope to others!

Thank you Sarah-Frances and Friends!

Generosity is an amazing quality to have, but it's definitely a wonderful thing to see in children.   Sarah-Frances and a friend had a Lemonade (and cookie) Stand over the weekend with proceeds going to Kentucky CancerLink! Their effort raised $15 dollars!  Every dollar helps our mission to be a link to hope to Kentucky cancer patients!  We appreciate these sweet young ladies and love the picture of their smiling faces!  This just made our day!!

Thank you to Workout Anytime Lexington and Josh Ehringer for organizing and hosting the
2nd Annual Lift for the Cure!

Kentucky CancerLink would like to thank these great individuals that came together in STRENGTH for the our mission.  We are excited about the ideas that are already coming along for how to grow this awesome event!  We look forward to continuing in the coming years!
