This Saturday at 9 am under the chef demo tent, you can see and taste the first of several "Market Pairings - Make It Today-Easy, Fresh & Local" that showcase a recipe sourced entirely from two or three HLFM farmers and producers. See how easy it is to prepare a beautiful and tasty recipe using fresh-from-the-market ingredients! This week the pairings are from Bennett Orchards, Kalmar Farms, Baues' Busy Bees, and Herbs, Spice & Everything Nice.

We invite you to enjoy this inaugural "Market Pairing"!

Mixed Melon Salad with Mint and Lime
2 cups of Bennett's exotic cantaloupe balls
2 cups Kalmar's seedless watermelon balls
ΒΌ cup fresh lime juice (about 2 limes)
3 Tablespoons Baues' Busy Bees honey
2 Tablespoons of chopped fresh mint from Herbs, Spice & Everything Nice
Pinch of salt

Combine the lime juice, honey, mint and salt together in a small bowl and whisk until thoroughly combined. In a larger bowl, combine the two types of melon balls. Add the honey-lime mixture and toss to coat evenly. Garnish with additional mint, if desired. Chill the salad in the refrigerator until serving. Makes 8 servings.
