Residential Street and Sidewalk Repair Project Begins August 1
Beginning Monday, August 1, crews will resurface a number of Folsom's residential streets with a slurry seal to prevent deterioration and improve drivability. Traffic stripes and markings on all resurfaced streets will receive a fresh coat of highly reflective thermoplastic striping. The project also includes repairs to curbs, gutters and sidewalks; plus upgrades to more than 40 curb ramps to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Some of the work will require temporary road and lane closures during the day. No street parking will be allowed on the day scheduled for slurry seal. Residents and businesses will be notified at least one week prior to closures that may affect them. Visit www.folsom.ca.us for a list of streets that are included in the project.

The entire concrete repair and pavement resurfacing project will be completed by October. The $1.4 million project is part of the City's ongoing pavement management program and funding is primarily provided by Measure A.
