USAID's Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU) will be hosting a Small Business Conference in South Africa on November 1-2, 2016.
The purpose of this conference is to offer U.S. small businesses the opportunity to learn about USAID, the procurement process, and the USAID programming priorities and procurement needs for the Africa Missions. Representatives from approximately 20 USAID Missions in Sub-Saharan Africa will be at the conference.
The conference will include panel discussions about how to work with USAID Missions, discussion about the business forecast, and subcontracting opportunities with large business prime contractors. There will also be exhibit booths of USAID Africa Missions, large business prime contractors, and other federal agencies such as State Department, Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC), Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC), U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA), and others.
REGISTRATION PROCESS
Completion of the registration does not guarantee admittance to the conference. This conference is limited to a maximum of 200 small business representatives. You MUST receive an email confirmation to attend the conference. There is no limit on the number of representatives per company. There is not a fee for the conference. Firms interested in attending the conference are responsible for their travel and accommodation costs. All firms interested in attending the conference must email their firm's capabilities statement to jowade@usaid.gov.
After submitting the conference registration, your company will be notified within two to three weeks if you have been selected to attend the conference. USAID will confirm each registrant's DUNS and related information. Please note that all firms selected to attend the conference MUST be registered in SAM.gov.
Companies selected to attend the conference will receive information about the USAID negotiated accommodations rate with Birchwood Hotel.
