Come out to the barn and join us for an Intro to Barn Hunt seminar. Jodi and Sean Silvernail with Claremont Barn Hunt are excited to show you and your dog how to get started in this fun new sport! No experience necessary!
The seminar will include rat and course introduction plus basic rules and handling information. After a short demo, participants will be able to run their dog through the Instinct and Novice courses. Working handlers can run up to three dogs. Please bring crates for your dogs and a chair for yourself.
Note: Barn hunt is a humane sport that emphasizes safety for all species. The rats used in this sport are pets who are specially trained to enjoy their "work," and there are strict guidelines in place to ensure that they are always safe and comfortable. Registration: Spaces are limited. Please reserve your spot online in advance. Working spots (where you bring your dog with) cost $35 and auditing spots (where you attend without a dog) cost $10.
