Babson Welcomes Michael Lynch as Interim Athletics Director
Babson College Vice President for Student Affairs and Dean of Students Lawrence P. Ward announced that Michael Lynch has been named interim director of the Department of Athletics and Recreation. A veteran administrator with more than two decades of experience in intercollegiate athletics, Lynch comes to Babson after a highly successful 14-year tenure at Boston University. Read more »

Congratulations, Gerri Randlett!
We are pleased to announce the appointment of Gerri Randlett as managing director, Alumni and Friends Network. Randlett has spent close to 20 years at Babson, previously serving as undergraduate class dean, and most recently as the director of the Alumni Network, responsible for the strategy of growing our regional alumni clubs, expanding our alumni service programs, and establishing our affinity and milestone programs. "I am thrilled to take on this new role," she said. "It is a distinct honor and privilege to ensure that we connect and engage with all our alumni throughout the world." Master of Science in Finance This nine-month Master of Science in Finance (MSF) degree will offer a unique blend of financial theory and practice taught by Babson's award-winning faculty. Designed for students with zero to two years of experience, the Babson MSF will provide in-depth financial and quantitative knowledge combined with sophisticated problem-solving, practical application, ethical judgment, and professional development and communication skills. New Coach Kristy Martin to Lead Babson Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving Teams
Babson Swimming _ Diving Kristy Martin was appointed coach of the Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving teams earlier this month. She "brings a wealth of swimming knowledge to our teams, from competing at a high level to coaching at established college programs," said Assistant Athletics Director for Facilities and Recreation Andy Dutton. "I am excited to see what the future has in store for Babson Swimming and Diving."  Read more »

Summer Venture Showcase Allows Babson Businesses to Shine
The Babson Summer Venture Showcase kicks off today at Babson's Wellesley campus, featuring 15 promising graduate and undergraduate entrepreneurs from Babson, Olin College of Engineering, and Wellesley College. Eleven more teams will participate next month in the inaugural San Francisco edition of this signature event for the Arthur M. Small Talk With Yagmur Akgul '18
Yagmur Akgul A star on the Babson tennis team, Yagmur Akgul '18 began to play tennis at the age of 6. Growing up in Istanbul, she became so adept at the sport that she made Turkey's international team, played professionally for a while, and traveled the world for matches. Alumni Business True Fit Raises $25 Million
True Fit, footwear and apparel's discovery platform founded by Babson grads Jessica Arredondo Murphy MBA '06 and Romney Evans MBA '06, announced a $25 million Series B financing from Jump Capital, Signal Peak Ventures, and Intel Capital. The new funding brings total investment in True Fit to $40 million and it will be used to serve rising demand and growth, as well as to drive continued innovation for retailers. Read more »

Police Chief James Pollard Appointed Regional Director for the IACLEA
James Pollard, director of the public safety department and chief of police at Babson, was sworn in as North Atlantic Region director following the annual business meeting of the International Association of Campus Law Enforcement Administrators (IACLEA) on June 27.  Read more »
Women Entrepreneurs: Apply to the Babson Breakaway Challenge
The Center for Women's Entrepreneurial Leadership (CWEL) at Babson and Breakaway, a Boston-based brand and venture capital firm, have opened 10 additional semifinalist spots in the Babson Breakaway Challenge--the first and only competition to promote gender parity in the venture capital industry and to award $250,000 plus in-kind prizes to a high-potential, women-led business. Learn more »
