                  GOOD NEWS!

At its July meeting, the Board unanimously agreed to recommend to the congregation to call Rev. Russ Menk as our settled, full-time minister.  For each of the coming Sundays through August, there will be a pulpit editorial during the service to provide background and information in preparation for a congregational vote on September 11 at a special meeting after the service.  Please click here for a link to the pulpit editorial made by Carol Schimke last Sunday, July 24 to announce the good news.

AUGUST BOOK CLUB

Tuesday August 16th at 7pm.  The Bee Keepers Apprentice by Laurie King.
In 1915, Sherlock Holmes is retired and quietly engaged in the study of honeybees in Sussex when a young woman literally stumbles onto him on the Sussex Downs.   Fifteen years old, gawky, egotistical, and recently orphaned, the young Mary Russell displays an intellect to impress even Sherlock Holmes.
Full of brilliant deduction, disguises, and danger, The Beekeeper's Apprentice, the first book of the Mary Russell-Sherlock Holmes mysteries, is "remarkably beguiling" (The Boston Globe).

We usually spend about an hour talking about our  book of the month.
We would love to have you join us!
For questions, call Linda Monk at 724-4089

                      New Fellowship Directories Available

To start with, there are new directories available on the Documents page.
To access this website, you must first login. To login, you must have an account on the system. Unfortunately, we were not able to move the accounts from the old Members site to the new one, so you will need to create a new account. Small Group Ministry
NEW GROUP STARTING IN SEPTEMBER

Small Group Ministry provides an opportunity to pursue deeper spiritual questions, to be further challenged to social action and spiritual growth, and to express Unitarian Universalist principles in the congregation and in the larger community. With 8-10 people, it allows us to use deep listening to be present in each other's lives in an open, supportive, and nurturing environment.

A new group will begin meeting the week of September 5.  Non-members are welcome to apply. Please pick up a registration form on Sunday or at the Fellowship Office. The final date to register is Monday, August 15.
Questions?  Bonnie McDonald at [email protected] .
