General Updates
Express Check-In is open, and it is important that you complete this process for our records.    Express check-in allows you to access and update all parent and student information in Infinite Campus and to complete any remaining registration paperwork electronically. Fees will be listed. 



CarpoolingSTEM School has changed to an "opt-in"  system with WayToGo SchoolPool.  Look for information in your Parent Portal to sign up.  You must choose a student  from the drop down and then  click on Transportation on the left hand column.

Schedule for next week:


Student Check-In is next Wednesday - Thursday, and is where families will receive general information, student photos and ID's are completed, parents turn in any outstanding registration paperwork, pay student fees and receive information packets.  Student fees are due before August 9th.  See date/ times below, or visit our website.

Student Launch is an orientation for all NEW incoming students, and will be held on Thursday.  Visit the calendar for times.

MAPs testing is for all STEM students and will be held through out the week.  Your student does not need to sign up, just come at their assigned time on the calendar.

High School Updates

Student Parking Pass Wait-List

We have a limited number of parking spaces available for students.
Please place your name on the wait-list if you are interested in purchasing a Student Parking Pass.
You must have a current driver's license to apply for a parking pass.
There will be a lottery on August 2, 2016, with Seniors getting priority.  
All names must be placed on the list by Noon August 2nd to be included in the lottery.
After the seniors receive their passes, we will go down the wait-list to assign spots.
Students who will receive a parking spot will be notified by 4pm on August 2nd. The pass will be given out when payment is received.  
Payment and proof of drivers license MUST be received by 4pm on Monday August 8th, or the next name will be selected.
Options for payment are; 1. Bring payment ($50) to Student Check-in, or 2. bring payment to HS office.

Middle School Updates

Announcement for NEW 6th-12th grade Spartans:

We hope that your new Spartan will be able to attend Spartan Launch next Thursday.  As a reminder new 6-12th graders can attend Spartan Launch on August 4th from 9-11am or 12-2pm.  Please choose the session that fits your schedule best.  There is no need to sign up.  All students attending Launch should enter through the High School entrance and proceed upstairs to the commons.  Please arrive a few minutes early to make a name tag!  Students need to bring only a copy of their schedule.  We will use schedules to identify classrooms.  Students do not need to bring computers or other school supplies.  Thank you and we look forward to seeing you on Thursday!


Please refer to the STEM calendar for the MAPs testing schedule.  Students should enter through the Middle School entrance.  Students may use a STEM phone to contact parents when they are finished.

Updates from our Assistant Principals:
Elementary Gifted & Talented Screening

All 3rd and 5th grade students will take the Cog-AT, an aptitude test that is one piece of a body of evidence for Gifted & Talented identification. If you want your elementary student in grade K-2, or 4 to take the Cog-AT, email  hannah.reese@stemhigh.org

Students in grades 6-12 are not eligible for the Cog-AT in Douglas County.

Fall MAPs Testing:

All students in grades 6-12 take MAP exams for reading, writing, mathematics, and science the first week of August. Each grade has an assigned testing date and time. Please drop students off in the middle school office 5-10 minutes before their assigned testing time; students will call home once they're finished testing.

If your student cannot attend their assigned testing slot,  sign up here for make-up testing on Monday, August 8th. These slots will be first come first serve basis.

Elementary students will take MAP exams with their classroom teachers during the first two weeks of school.

This is where you will choose your areas of interest to volunteer, as well as log your hours (if you use our laptop to sign in and out, your hours will automatically be logged).  You will receive more information in your packet at Student Check-in, or you can view more on our website.

Academy News:


For 2016-17, STEM Academy will offer Before-School Care from 6:30-7:45am  for middle and high school, and offer After-School Care from 3:25-6pm  for middle and high school.  More information, including location and rates, will be coming soon!

Also keep an eye on the website in the coming weeks for registration for Fall Academy offerings including Robotics, Fencing, Golf, Game Club, and more!
