A Newsletter Just for You
From now until the end of August, you'll receive a monthly Raider Family email newsletter from Mount Union. These are designed to parallel the weekly New Raider News emails we are sending to your Mount Union student's @mountunion.edu email address. In those weekly emails to your student, we are providing all of the need-to-know information before arriving on campus in August, as well as some fun facts and links to blog posts and videos.

We hope that you will not only find these monthly newsletters helpful and informative, but that you also will help us encourage your student to read the emails we are sending. Students have so much going on during this time of transition from high school to college, and any help you can provide in urging students to check their Mount Union email regularly, read their weekly New Raider News issue and complete any important tasks would be beneficial. Being successful in college is a team effort, and we want to start building that team between you and the Mount Union community as soon as we can!
July Newsletters
Last month, your student received information about Mount's Health Center  and  Study Abroad  and  Sustainability programs . We also let them know about the  Think About It  program and the Student Health Insurance Plans.

The Think About It program is a healthy choices online educational program that your student must complete prior to August 22. Students were sent emails about how to access this program to their Mount Union email address, so please encourage them to check that!

The student health insurance plan  is also a critical piece of information to explore with your student.  Students must also determine whether they will enroll in  Mount Union's Student Health Insurance Plan   or will be covered under another plan that complies with the Affordable Care Act. All student must use our   online insurance form   to either waive or opt-in to the Mount Union Student Health insurance by  September 6, 2016.  After that date, any student who has not waived or opted-in to the health insurance will automatically be enrolled in and billed for the Student Insurance Plan offered by Mount Union.  If you have questions about the Student Insurance Plan or how to complete this waiver, contact the Health Center at (330) 823-2692 or email questions  to

We want to be sure you have all of that information as well, and we have archived those student New Raider News issues so that you can peruse them and help your student get the information he or she needs.
