Volunteer attorney receives nice thank you note from client needing help catching her brother's murderer

Volunteer attorneys often receive thank you notes, flowers, and candy from grateful clients who they help pro bono as was the case recently with Attorney Chris Nicholson , Jones Hawley Law.

Chris helped his client obtain a presumption of death certificate in Probate Court 20 years after her brother went missing so the Birmingham Police Department could pursue murder charges against a suspect they identified as part of a "cold case."

Chris obtained the certificate for the client, the police arrested a suspect, and murder charges are now pending.
