FALL 2016: A SNEAK PREVIEW OF THE HOTTEST TRENDS

  • VELVET is the luxe fabric of the season.
  • MENSWEAR EFFECT --suiting fabrics and strong tailoring are borrowed from the boys.
  • LUXURIOUS LACE, EXQUISITE EMBROIDERY, FINE CHIFFON, and VINTAGE DETAILING make for ROMANTIC OPULENCE.
  •  
  • SHINE ON --sparkling skirts, dresses, coats and accessories are everywhere.
  • TOP-HANDLE HANDBAGS are very popular and replacing the cross-body bags from last season.
  •  SKIRTS are mostly long and pleated, or pencil-like and appear with prints, in multiple colors and varied in texture.
  • TROUSERS are oversized as are coats and sweaters
  • There are BOMBER JACKETS AND PUFFER COATS galore.
  • EVERYTHING DENIM -- from accessories to trench coats.

A Word of Caution

Sales are very tempting --especially end of season sales. My advice is to avoid buying anything you would not purchase at full price .

 

Stop Shoe Odor

Either place clothes dryer sheets like Bounce in the toes of your shoes (when you are not wearing them, of course) to keep them smelling fresh and clean, especially during the summer months.

or

Use Tea Bags!! 1) Wipe the inside of each shoe with a cotton ball moistened with rubbing alcohol, to kill bacteria and 2) Place a dry, unused tea bag inside each shoe; let them sit overnight.
