The Malayan Tiger is the second-smallest living subspecies of tigers in the world with the average length of a male being 259 cm and of a female being 239 cm. Its smaller size helps it remain unseen in the clearer parts of the Malaysian jungle. The dominant, carnivorous predator primarily hunts larger mammals including sambar deer, barking deer, wild boar and other wild animals. While its difficult to spot, the tiger can still be found by fortunate explorers venturing through Belum Temenggor, along with several species of hornbills and other exotic animals, during journeys like Diethelm Travel Malaysia's Four-Day Glimpse of the Northern Peninsula Tour.
