What to expect at Griz Biz Days - August 23 & 24
RMS Staff & PTSA

Families enter through the door by the gym and pick up the info packet by student name. Your next stop is the gym where there are a number of stations to visit (don't forget to bring your school supplies for drop off.) After completing your paperwork, you will stop in at the attendance office to turn in paperwork, pay fees, and make purchases. It's time for your student to line up for photos! Next you can visit the PTSA table to vote on Parent Education topics for the year, check out upcoming volunteer opportunities, and join the PTSA. After your student has their school ID picture taken in the commons they will be able to take a tour of the school. We're setting up a computer practice station for accessing the Skyward grading and attendance information, be sure to take advantage of that if you haven' tused Skyward before. The last thing to do before leaving is to pick up your student's ID card and a handout about the first day of school.

Additional tips
  • We will have Spanish, Russian, and Chinese language translators available from 8-10am on Wednesday, August 24th.
  • On site payments may be made by check or cash, credit card payments are accepted online through LWSD Parent Access.

We look forward to seeing you at Griz Biz, August 23 & 24 (8-11am, and noon-2pm both days).

PTSA Seeking Leadership Volunteers
RMS PTSA

We're getting ready for the 2016-2017 school year and are looking for a couple of higher profile  volunteers.

Do you like art? Or does your student enjoy the arts? The Reflections Arts Competition is a  turn-key program through the National PTA that requires a chairperson. This valuable person would be  responsible for running our portion of the contest from promotion through moving winning entries up  to the council level. Several people on the current board have run the event before and are available to  support you.

The second board position is that of Membership chair. The PTSA Membership person  should be able to pick up mail from the school on a weekly basis in September and October. They are  responsible for ensuring that the paper membership forms are entered into the database and payment  given to the Treasurer.

Your PTSA membership covers your training for running the reflections program  and/or serving as Membership chair.

Please contact Laura Kaye and Felice Nightengale, RMS PTSA co-Presidents for more information.

Fall Sports Registration
  RMS ASB

Fall sports paperwork is due by Wednesday, September 7th. All students planning to participate in cross country, badminton, or boys tennis should have a sports physical completed by the regular doctor or local clinic in advance of the paperwork deadline. The physical paperwork is available on the district website. Have questions about fall sports? Ask them in person at Griz Biz Days August 23rd or 24th.
