A better way to search...
CreativeGround users are multi-talented, and we want to make sure they get recognized for it! Based on your feedback, we've updated our advanced search so that when you filter by discipline, a profile's primary and secondary disciplines are both taken into consideration. This makes it easier to find potters-slash-actors, choreographers-slash-writers, and other "slashers" of all stripes!

Welcome to the team!
We're excited to welcome Nicholas Medvescek to the CreativeGround team as our new website administrator. Read more about Nicholas and get in touch with any questions about your profile.

Thank you to everyone who took our user survey in the spring! We're currently using the results to improve the functionality and overall user experience of the site. Look out for more to come...

BE COUNTED

NEF A Research is launching a New England-wide artist and creative worker survey in September as part of the New England Creative Economy Employment Research Initiative . The results will fuel a report that gives a voice to the kind of artists we see on CreativeGround including how they work and what resources they need to succeed. We hope you'll choose to participate this fall!

This quiz from the National Endowment for the Arts  was a fun way for us to get the creative juices flowing! Take it yourself and find out what kind of artist you are. The answer may surprise you...

HELPFUL HINT
Search Bars and Shoe Shopping
Wondering how Search and Explore on CreativeGround are different? This analogy will be familiar to any online shopper...

Let's imagine that CreativeGround is your favorite online shoe retailer. Now imagine profiles are like different kinds of shoes. Let's say that you're looking to find a particular pair of pumps that your friend just bought. To find the specific brand you have in mind , you would use the site's SEARCH function.

Now let's say you're looking for a style for spring, but the specific brand doesn't matter to you. The site's filtered search or EXPLORE function would help you filter through all different types of styles for the spring, narrowing your selections as you go along.
