Agent Receives State Awards
Currituck County Cooperative Extension is proud to announce that Olivia Jones recently received two state level Communicator Awards from the North Carolina Association of Family and Consumer Sciences (NCAFCS).  Ms. Jones was presented plaques for recognition of her efforts at the annual meeting of the NCAFCS held in Nags Head in June.

Engineering Workshop

Do you know that there are over 40 different types of engineers working everyday to imagine, invent, design and build things that often change the world? Currituck County 4-H is hosting an "Engineering is Everywhere Science Camp", for youth ages 10 and up,  August 16-18 , from  9 am to 4 pm  each day. Camp will be held at the Currituck County Center, located at 120 Community Way, Barco, NC 27917. Pre-registration, including a camp fee of $45 is required.
Greenhouse on a Budget

Have you ever wished you could keep your fall garden going longer or get an early jump on growing plants in the spring? Well a backyard greenhouse is what you need and it is possible to build one yourself for under $250! Join us on Saturday, August 20th from 9 am to 12 pm as the NC Cooperative Extension Currituck County Center hosts "Building a Greenhouse on a Budget".  The class will be held outside the Auditorium Building at the Currituck County Center .
Master Food Volunteers

Do you love shopping at your favorite local food spot? Do you enjoy learning new and exciting ways to cook? Are you always sharing recipes with your friends or on social media? Currituck County Cooperative Extension Service is seeking community members to serve as volunteers in the new Extension Master Food Volunteer (EMFV) pilot program.
Moyock Park Survey

Currituck County is proposing a public park located in the Shingle Landing subdivision on a 25-acre tract of County-owned property. This proposed park is in response to citizen requests in the growing area of Moyock.  Please share your opinion with the Parks and Recreation Department by completing the  survey
