Georgia Pedestrian Safety Action Plan: What matters most to you?
Good news: PEDS is working with the Georgia Department of Transportation to develop an action plan for increasing safety for people who walk.  

Please take a few minutes today to let us know what matters most to you. What hazards do you face? What solutions does your co mmunity need most? The survey takes just 5 minutes.

August 10 panel discussion: Safe crossings on multi-l ane roads
PEDS is working with engineers at the Georgia Department of Tran s tation to develop policy and practice recommendations about siting and designing safe crossings treatments.

Katelyn Digioia, the State Bicycle-Pedestrian Engineer at GDOT, Andy McBurney, a transportation planner at MARTA who previously managed our Safe Routes to Transit Initiative, and PEDS Safety Researcher Jack Cebe will be panelists. 

We'll leave plenty of time for questions from the audience.

The first half hour is for networking, with the panel discussion beginning at 6:00 PM.

August 23 and August 30 Community Engagement Meetings
The City of Atlanta is moving forward on projects that will transform Monroe Drive, Boulevard and East Paces Ferry into streets that are safe and accessible for all transportation modes and for people of all ages and abilities.
 
No one knows a street as well as the people who live on or near it, so please speak up. Upcoming meetings give you a chance to let Atlanta City Council members and transportation professionals know what changes you'd like to see.
