   We had a blast at our Harry Potter release party and I think our guests did too. We have books if you need one.

   Remember how your kid had a list of books to read this summer?
   And see the calendar and how it's almost time for school! Smart parent! You waited til now so that the book would be fresh in their mind. So come and get what you need. Better yet, place the order online and we'll get it as quickly as we can.

   Friday night is First Friday and we're looking forward to introducing you
to Margo Rivera-Weiss, our featured artist for August. Her paintings and prints are already delighting us and we think they will want to go home with you. 6-9 Friday, be here. The art will be up all month.

   Saturday bring the kids to meet author Audra Caravas and her new book I Can Make a Difference that helps kids know how our laws are made and that everyone can help make our community better. 1 to 3pm.

   Also for kids is an hour long writing workshop with no less than the amazing Marissa Moss on Saturday the 13th. Noon to 1 your budding writer (or illustrator) can get tips and instruction from the author of many books and now also the publisher of many more. Call to reserve a spot.

Wolf Camp by Andrea Zuill $16.99

Homer is a dog . . . but he also secretly fancies himself part wolf. So when an invitation to attend WOLF CAMP ("Where every dog can live as a wolf for a week") falls out of his kibble bag one morning, he's determined to go. After his people finally agree, Homer boards the bus bound for Wolf Camp, along with fellow campers Trixie and Rex. They're greeted on the other end by wolf counselors Fang and Grrr ("they seem nice"), and what follows is an array of wolf activities, including learning to howl, mark, and hunt. Of course, Homer's a little homesick at times, and the food isn't very good, but that just makes heading home all the sweeter.

The Quantum Realm, Philly the Photon by Mark Montgomery $14.95 This is a locally written book for the 5th through 8th grade set. Physics based and a good book for that science kid who might get bored easily and you want to hook them!
