NEW: Ergo Eval Option for Remote Workers.
Cumulative Micro-Trauma (CMT) is our enemy. CMT is an accumulation of low grade physical stress on our bodies due to sustained postures, repetitive motion, and incorrect use of our bodies as we perform daily activities of normal living. CMT can lead to a cycle of fatigue, discomfort, pain, and for the unfortunate, an injury.

There has been a lot written of late as to the effects of prolonged sitting. The most obvious manifestations of CMT for office workers are neck and shoulder discomfort/pain, low back issues, hands, wrist, and forearm tension, and headaches.
"I've been doing so much better since my eval a year ago. Everything is set up perfectly for me and I have had no back, shoulder or carpal tunnel pain since. I taught my whole team the stretches and everyone loves them. Thank you so much. When I heard we would be doing a telephone eval, I really didn't think it would do much good without someone there in person. I never expected to get so much out of it!"

FIT has completed on-site ergonomic training for over 1 million employees across North America via our Backsafe® and Sittingsafe® training programs. Backsafe addresses all occupations that are non-office related and help employees to discover the causes of back, shoulder, and other sprain/strains and how to prevent them on and off the job.

Sittingsafe is a program that teaches office personnel how to overcome the challenges of a predominantly sedentary work day. Employees who become educated on where to place keyboards, monitors, mice, and how to adjust their existing chairs specifically for their bodies, and how to stretch away existing "micro-trauma", feel significantly better. In fact, in many cases the differences are "life changing".
"Everything has been going really well since my eval. I don't have any symptoms any more. The eval went a lot better than I expected it to. I will be calling for another eval soon since I'll be changing locations. Thanks!"

-Lead Teller, MT
As an offshoot of the on-site ergonomic training several years ago a very successful one-on-one ergonomic evaluation service was established to help individual office personnel suffering from office related cumulative micro-trauma. Due to the proliferation of remote and home based employees it has been difficult for employers to provide quality and customized ergonomic services for these employees: until now.

FIT has completed a year-long beta test of a telephonic based personal ergonomic evaluation and are now offering this service to all companies throughout North America. All evaluations are performed by very experienced personnel who have done countless on-site evaluations over the last 10 years. The evals take approximately 45 minutes to complete with a follow-up quality assurance call in 6 weeks' time.

Without the need of having strangers going into an employee's home or having to incur travel expenses to remote locations, FIT can assist any English or Spanish speaking employee on how to adapt their workstations to help them to recover from the effects of CMT.
