SiNaCa Studios School of Glass and Gallery

August 2016
Greetings All,

We had two great week long workshops in July. Chad Holliday returned for a fourth continuous year to lead both a kiln casting workshop and a cold working workshop. It was fun having him back, and the students work was excellent. Images from the kiln casting workshop can be seen HERE.

Our Ice Cream Social was last month as well. We celebrated the end of the glass blowing season with sand casing workshops and ladling out the remaining molten glass. We had amazing ice cream thanks to Melt Ice Creams. There were glass bowls generously donated by local artists for sale. Any bowls that didn't find a new home will be donated to Empty Bowls. Proceeds from this event will help us continue to upgrade our facilities. Thank you to everyone that helped make it a great success! Images from the event can be seen HERE.

Don't forget that we have added a new kiln forming class geared specifically to kids called Connect2Glass. Participants choose one of the offered kiln forming items during registration. The one hour workshops are held once a month. Up to four kids can be registered for the same time. Click HERE for information and registration.
There will also be a Star Wars themed weekend kids camp at the end of August. Multiple projects will be done in our kiln forming and flame working studios. For information and registration click HERE.

Thank you for your continued support and we look forward to seeing you soon.
