Popcorn System Questions
The deadline for Order #1 for Show & Sell product is this Friday, August 5. For more information about Order #1, logging-in to the new popcorn system, and more, please read Issue 3 of Kernel Connection.

As many of you are hopefully aware, this year Trail's End has replaced their popcorn system. We want to thank everyone for their patience and cooperation with the adjustments to using the new system.
 
If at any point you have questions or difficulties with the system, please reach out to your district professional who will be happy to assist you. You may also email popcorn@colbsa.org
 
Below are a few notes regarding some known issues to help reduce some confusion you may have. We are regularly providing feedback to Trail's End and they are continually making updates to their system to address issues and increase functionality.
  • Be aware that when you place your unit order, the system may not give you clear confirmation that your order was received. The system may show messages such as, "waiting for scouting.trails-end", "update failed" or "submit failed."  However, we are able to confirm that we receive unit orders when they are submitted, regardless of the message displayed.
  • If you have any concerns about if your order was submitted, please feel free to reach out to your district professional or kernel to confirm. Unfortunately the system does not send an auto email confirmation.
  • Be aware that the following functions are not operating in the system at this time, though we do expect that they will be available later:
    • "Print Unit Invoice" Button
    • "View Order Adjustment Details" Button
    • The retail dollar value does not display on the ordering screens
    • The commission details and unit payment is not setup at this time. This does not impact any ordering capabilities

Popcorn Facebook Group
To facilitate communication, as well as to provide a resource for units to post when they need additional Show & Sell product or have product to unload, we've created a  Facebook group. It's a closed group, so you'll need to request to join.
