Public Art Program, Hosted at Farmington Hills City Hall. 


ABOUT the CITY of FARMINGTON HILLS
PUBLIC ART PROGRAM
The City of Farmington Hills believes strongly in the value of the arts and invites regional artists to submit work for consideration for exhibit as part of the 2017-2018 Public Art Program at the Farmington Hills City Hall.

This beautiful facility offers display opportunities to showcase many diverse types of art, which will be seen and enjoyed by citizens, visitors, and staff. During the two-year duration of the program, there are also exciting on-site events which will coincide with the exhibit, providing more exposure with local art collectors and businesses.
 
2016 CALL FOR ENTRIES
The City is seeking artwork of all media, including: painting, drawing, photography, mixed media, fiber art, digital art, ceramics, glass, indoor & outdoor sculpture, and more! This opportunity is open to all regional artists; applicants do not have to be a resident of Farmington Hills.

NOVEMBER 20, 2016 , for consideration. Artwork may be offered for sale; however, special arrangements during the display time must be made to replace purchased artwork with another piece. Accepted artwork will remain on exhibit for a period of two years.

ADDITIONAL PROGRAM DETAILS
  • Online Entry Applications must be submitted by NOVEMBER 20, 2016, for consideration. There is no fee to apply. Click here for full program specifications and details.
  • Artists may submit up to 5 images* through the Online Application .*ONLY SUBMIT WORK YOU WOULD LIKE CONSIDERED FOR DISPLAY IN THE EXHIBIT. Only 1 image required for submission. Images must be of professional quality at 300dpi and up to maximum of 1MB (jpegs preferred).  If artwork is chosen, it must be mounted and ready to display.
  • Artist must commit work for a period of two (2) years
  • Delivery and pick up is responsibility of artist
  • Accepted pieces must be clearly labeled with piece #, artist's name and title
  • All work must be delivered ready to install. Artist is responsible for properly framing or preparing artwork for installation to protect from damage, including sunlight
  • Artists will receive 80% commission on all sales
  • Selections will be made based on quality and suitability to the spaces available
  • Selected artists will receive recognition at the January, 2017 City Council meeting with elected officials in attendance
  • Opportunities for invitation to and/or participation in corresponding events
