You are strongly encouraged to apply to be a Council member if you are:
a person with a developmental disability;
a family member of a person with a developmental disability;
a person who previously lived in an institution or nursing home;
a family member of a person who previously lived in an institution or nursing home.
To ensure proportionate representation of Maryland, candidates who represent a minority race/ethnicity and live in the Central or Capital regions* of Maryland are especially encouraged to apply!
*Baltimore City & County, Anne Arundel, Carroll, Harford, Howard, Frederick, Prince George's, and Montgomery Counties
