City of Birmingham, MI
West Maple Road Paving
Project Update 8-5-16
Now that the road closure phase is underway, it has been determined that the project area must be closed off at each local street, with the use of barrels or barricades.

People who must access W. Maple Rd. to get to your home or business are encouraged to use the far ends of the project area, at either Cranbrook Rd. or Southfield Rd.  During the work day, a flagperson will be stationed at each location to check people as they enter the area.  Vehicles that do not have business that requires the use of the street will be sent away.  If you have deliveries planned, please encourage the delivery person to use these entrances, and explain to the flagperson why they need to enter the street.  After hours, a small gap will be left in the barricades to allow entrance in and out.  When driving on the street, note that pavement patching, crack sealing, and manhole structure repairs will be underway.   Please use caution and proceed slowly.

A Constant Contact group is being set up for project updates that will be emailed to all members of the group.  You are encouraged to join so that you will be notified about progress and changes that may impact you.  Please go to http://www.bit.ly/bhamnews to sign up.
