One Year Anniversary Beer Release
Drifter's Escape Lager
at Twin Leaf Brewing
Twin Leaf Brewery and Zebulon Artisan Ales have come together to brew the next installment for the Brewing for Greenways collaboration series to support Friends of Connect Buncombe. Drifter's Escape Lager, a craft-brewed light lager, will be tapped on Friday, August 19th at 6:00 p.m. at Twin Leaf Brewing, located on 144 Coxe Avenue, Asheville, NC.
Both Twin Leaf Brewery head brewer and owner, Tim Weber, and Zebulon Artisan Ales co-owner, Mike Karnowski, were excited to brew the seventh installment in the series, the collaborations's one-year anniversary beer.
"We were thrilled to participate in this project," said Weber. "Asheville is an amazing city to live in and the more bimodal ways we have to get around, the better it is to live here. I love when i get to do what I enjoy, which is brewing beer, and at the same time support nonprofits who are working to make our community a better place. Especially," added Weber, "when I can collaborate with as great of a brewery as Zebulon."
Drifter's Escape Lager is the two craft brewers' attempt to take back the much maligned yet historically important American lager. The beer was brewed with a classic American lager base, 6-row malt and corn, and then hopped with a generous amount of Citra and Centennial hops. At 5.2% ABV, this light and refreshing beer is the perfect beverage for enjoying post summertime mountain adventures.
Drifter's Escape Lager will only be available on tap in Twin Leaf Brewing's taproom while supplies last The brewery will donate two dollars or each point sold to Friends of Connect Buncombe.
Event is open to the public. For a full press release, please click HERE.
